With everything that has been happening you might be wondering, can God even hear me? The answer, YES! He is and will always listen to you. Sometimes thoughts like, Why didn’t God answer my prayer? Or Is he even listening? Can come and try to confuse you, but let this be clear, he is ALWAYS there when you need him and even when you don’t. This is him being OMNIPRESENT. What does that mean… it means “present everywhere at the same time.” Psalms 139:7-12 says, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light becomes night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. This means that he can listen to your prayers as well as the prayers of others.
Maybe you have lost a loved one due to COVID or you know someone that is battling it, you might wonder if God has the power to heal them. Well he has supreme power, he is OMNIPOTENT. He has the power to calm any storm(Mark 4:35). Here Jesus and his disciples were in the middle of a storm while on a boat. The disciples woke Jesus up and asked if he even cared if they drowned. At that moment Jesus told the wind and the sea to calm down, and guess what, they did! NO ONE and I mean no one has that kind of power. You know, we as humans have our limitations, but he doesn’t! Don’t doubt his power and what he can do for you.
Sometimes we worry about what our future has in store for us, that we forget who holds our future. God is OMNISCIENCE, which means he is all knowing. He knows everything about you, even how many hairs you have on your head (Luke 12:7)! He knows your passions and your fears, he knows your secrets and regrets, he even knows your future career and future family. Don’t be scared, trust in God!
Think of these like they are superpowers, only these superpowers are real! We belong to a powerful God, go on, believe it!
